Having been well used to dedicated Kindle readers, and Kindle reader apps on various Android machines for many years, I am able to give an accurate comparison of this 'programme' for a Windows PC. It is not an 'app', because, for some reason Windows 10 does not allow the Kindle reader for an app, as does Android.

The evolution of the popularity of e-Books has really grown over the past few years and many different distributors have created their own formats and versions of reading material. Amazon is no exception with its ever-so-popular Kindle program.

The Kindle for PC application itself is rather plain and does not really contain many extra features except for being able to read and manage your collection of purchased or free books. Kindle for PC 1.30.59056 is available to all software users as a free download for Windows 10 PCs but also without a hitch on Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Compatibility with this kindle book reader software may vary, but will generally run fine under Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP on either a 32-bit or 64-bit setup. A separate x64 version may be available from Amazon.
